“…One could doubt the reliability of the mention/support/contradict classification by scite.ai, because the machine-learning algorithm behind scite.ai was built only on a subset (around 16 million full-text articles that are NOT behind paywalls) of all research articles (e.g., over 53 million articles on Web of Science and 112 million articles registered on Crossref (Khamsi, 2020). Also, some citations might have been misclassified because the accuracy is not 100%.…”

“…We also compared the journal impact factors (Clarivate, 2020) of the publishing journals, the number of citations per publication, and the proportion of cited publications (i.e., publications with at least one citation) across the theories. Furthermore, we attempted to evaluate the quality of citations by comparing the contexts in which the theories were cited based on the classification results from scite.ai (Khamsi, 2020).…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…Agreement between reviewers will be assessed using Sysrev tools. 33 We will retrieve all studies selected for inclusion using Scite 34 , in order to identify retracted studies, which will be eliminated. After six months of initial searches, and before the final analysis, we will re-run the search strategy to identify more recent studies for possible inclusion.…”

“…Scite.ai has about 1,000 visitors per day and approx. 2,700 registered users, the number has been increasing since the site started asking users to register to view the full citation analysis for a given paper (Roxanne Khamsi, 2020). Today, the number of citations of a paper is considered by researchers as a measure of its degree of influence.…”
