October 2025 Release Notes
October was all about speed, clarity, and action—making it faster to get answers, easier to trust citations, and simpler to turn insights into outcomes. We're building on that momentum as we continue to refine the Scite experience to make your workflows even better. Get ready for more updates coming soon, but let's dig into what's new in October.
Faster Answers, Smoother Flow
We’ve made several behind-the-scenes upgrades to make Scite feel faster and more responsive than ever.
- Minimal Reasoning: A new “minimal” setting trims unnecessary reasoning steps for supported models.
- Haiku 4.5: Added as a new lightweight model for quick responses.
- Improved Parallelism: Assistant queries now run in parallel, reducing overall response times.
Together, these improvements help you stay focused, explore more, and spend less time waiting.
From Answers to Action

You can now act on insights instantly without breaking your flow.
Inline Actions: Add all references to a dashboard, copy them, or export to CSV, BibTeX, or RIS.
Turn discoveries into organized research with a single click.
Clearer, Trust-First Citations

We refreshed how citation links appear in the Assistant to make them stand out and easier to explore. Hover to see Smart Citations with improved styling—showing whether a paper supports, disputes, or mentions the claim.
Better readability and stronger trust, at a glance.
Updated Tutorials & Demos

We updated the video on Scite’s homepage and added a new Assistant Settings demo directly inside the app. These walkthroughs make it easier for new users and teams to get started, customize their setup, and get the most from Scite.
