The Crises of Peer Review

Abstract: In a recent editorial in the Journal of Social Work Education, Parrish cautions that the field of social work is experiencing a peer review crisis. The crisis that she describes (e.g., rising manuscript submissions, few scholars accepting review invitations) points towards a crisis in the "labor" of peer review.
