“…Numerous studies ( Claudy et al, 2015 ; Gupta & Arora, 2017a , 2017b ) have confirmed that a positive attitude significantly influences behavioral intentions, such as the adoption of m-banking, m-shopping, and innovation adoption in general. In various domains ( Anayat et al, 2023 ; Jan et al, 2023 ; Kasilingam, 2020 ; Kottasz et al, 2021 ; McLean & Osei-Frimpong, 2019 ; Verma et al, 2019 ), consumer attitudes have been found to positively affect their intentions to use corresponding technologies, including mobile technology, green consumption, intelligent chatbots, AI customer service, AI voice assistants, and autonomous vehicles. Although the use and potential of digital technology have been extensively discussed in the literature, studies analyzing consumer decision-making processes regarding the use of digital technology through the Behavioral Reasoning Theory are limited.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…In marketing, attitude is particularly recognized as a key determinant of consumer purchasing decisions, thereby serving as a strong predictor of consumer intention and behavior (Casidy et al, 2017;Dilmperi et al, 2017). The influence of consumer attitudes on the intention to use corresponding technologies has been observed in multiple domains, such as mobile technology (McLean & Osei-Frimpong, 2019), green consumption (Verma et al, 2019), smart chatbots (Kasilingam, 2020), AI customer service (Jan et al, 2023), AI voice assistants (Anayat et al, 2023), and autonomous vehicles (Kottasz et al, 2021).Despite extensive discussion in literature on the application and potential of digital technology, studies utilizing Behavioral Reasoning Theory to analyze consumer decision-making processes in this context are limited. Given that the integration of digital technology in sports represents an innovation, understanding the attitudes and intentions of sports participants towards using such technology is crucial.…”

“…For example, in human–computer interaction, several studies have used AMP to study robots and other novel technologies (e.g. Kottasz et al , 2021). In (social) psychology and marketing, AMP has been used to examine several (often sensitive) topics, such as respondents’ political attitudes (Payne et al , 2005), their racial attitudes (Hehman, 2019), the effectiveness of campaigns on condom usage (Hood et al , 2021) and attitudes towards alcohol (Zerhouni et al , 2018), up to even the phenomenon of “hangriness” (MacCormack and Lindquist, 2019).…”

“…For example, in the domain of Human-Computer Interaction, several studies have used the AMP to study robots and other novel technologies. To illustrate, Kottasz et al (2021) used the AMP to evaluate non-drivers’ willingness to use driverless vehicles. They showed that positive implicit attitudes were mainly impacted by positive messaging on driverless vehicles, whereas negative messages impacted implicit attitudes less, implying that transmitting positive messages to non-drivers about this technology seems to be the preferred way forward.…”
