Does geography matter? Implications for future tourism research in light of COVID-19

Abstract: Due to the 2019 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, tourism is undergoing fundamental changes that are affecting tourism research. This situation calls for in-depth analyses of tourism research. Scholars have already published review studies on COVID-19-related research within the tourism field; however, these studies do not connect findings, such as the research focus, research methodology and target group, to form a research profile, and the geographical patterns of the findings are not identified. … Show more

“…According to Sulyok [18] , data sources in qualitative research are divided into two, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. Primary sources are data sources that directly provide data to data collectors, and secondary sources are sources that do not directly provide data to data collectors, for example through other people or through documents.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…A "jó hely" koncepcióvázlatának elkészítéséhez alkalmazott szakirodalmi áttekintést alapvetően a turizmuskutatásokban is előszeretettel használt metaanalízisre, a kulcsszóelemzésre építettük (Wu et al 2012;Sulyok et al 2023). Az ehhez rendelkezésre álló citációs adatbázisok közül a Web of Science-t választottuk, mert úgy ítéltük meg, hogy egyrészt annak minőségi gyarapítási stratégiája, másrészt felhasználóbarát keresőfelülete, exportálási lehetősége felel meg leginkább az álta-lunk megfogalmazott tudományos célkitűzéseknek.…”

“…The construction of the EIS of STR is carried out under the guidance of scientific theory and according to the characteristics of the evaluation object. The review and determination of STR indicators should follow certain design principles to ensure the high quality of the indicator system [13]. Based on the characteristics of the development and utilization of STR, this paper believes that the establishment of sports tourism rating index system should follow the following principles:…”
